With Blossombs, you literally bring more color into the world. Our seed bombs contain a special mix of organic wildflowers that provide nectar and pollen—the most important food sources for bees, butterflies, and other pollinators. A bee needs less than 0.01 grams of nectar per day, but of course, it has to be available! Blossombs are a fun and easy way to provide this nectar. Because the flowers from a Blossomb bloom over a longer period of time, nectar is available almost continuously in spring and summer. Did you know..? that one Blossomb can feed around 15 bees in a day? As small as a seed bomb may seem, its impact can be huge!
2. Biodiversity in gardens, balconies, and public spaces
Every Blossomb you plant transforms a piece of earth into a mini-ecosystem. Whether it's your own garden, a balcony planter, or a forgotten patch of green in the city: biodiversity can grow anywhere. The more different flowers there are, the more different bees (yes, including wild and solitary bees) and other insects will find their place and be fed. Together, we can create more variety and balance in nature—simply by planting a seed bomb.
3. Sustainable production and corporate social responsibility
We believe that you can only make a real impact if your product and production chain are also sustainable. That's why Blossombs are produced locally in the Netherlands, using natural and organic ingredients and without harmful additives. Our packaging is made from recycled paper and cardboard (much of it even has a gold cradle-to-cradle certificate). This means that not only nature is happy with the flowers, but also the planet with the way we produce them.
What's more, our Blossombs are packaged in our social workshop. This means we are not only creating opportunities for bees and butterflies, but also for people who are distanced from the labor market.
